If you find yourself in Lansdale, Pennsylvania, there’s a culinary gem that awaits your discovery: El Limon Lansdale. Nestled at 314 Madison St, this vibrant eatery serves up a slice of Mexico that captures the essence of authentic flavors and warm hospitality.
The moment you step inside, you are transported to a festive Mexican street, thanks to its charming decor and lively ambiance. One customer, Zara Mehendiratta, raved about the beauty of the restaurant, noting its spacious and clean facilities, which only enhances the dining experience. The restaurant takes pride in its inviting atmosphere, making it a perfect spot for families and friends to gather over mouthwatering meals.
El Limon Lansdale is not just about looks; the food is the star of the show. Diners have praised the loaded nachos adorned with flavorful guacamole, and the restaurant's signature shrimp tacos and chicken chimichangas leave guests coming back for more. Jeff Goodling was so impressed with his visit that he immediately added it to his rotation of local favorites, and all for good reason: the free margaritas offered in delightful flavors like strawberry, lime, and mango only enhance the already irresistible allure!
For those looking for something comforting, their burritos and tacos have received high marks for both flavor and presentation. Robert J Rodgers and Dante Medori's reviews reflect a consensus on the exceptional quality of dishes like the steak burrito, where even the pico de gallo and red hot sauce elevate the meal. It's clear that any item on the menu deserves attention, as Sabrina Tarlo declared her grilled chicken burrito to be “amazing,” while the churros elicited a joyful response comparable to a “sleigh ride on my tongue.”
However, it’s worth noting that experiences can vary. Casper Pembroke's recent review highlighted some inconsistency with to-go orders, pointing to a lack of care that fell short of the in-house dining experience. Yet, this should not overshadow the overwhelmingly positive feedback regarding on-site meals, where attention to detail shines through in every bite.
With easy accessibility and friendly staff, including the noteworthy Ana, the service is as commendable as the cuisine. El Limon Lansdale stands out as an exceptional choice for anyone craving authentic Mexican food in a friendly, welcoming environment. It's no surprise that many consider it one of the best in the area.
Next time you’re in Lansdale, let the vibrant flavors and the warm ambiance of El Limon Lansdale wrap you in a delightful culinary embrace. Your taste buds—and your heart—will thank you!
I went here for dinner, and it was great. The loaded nachos were great, and the guacamole was flavorful. The place is beautiful, decorated to be like a street in Mexico. The restrooms are clean and very easy to access. We ordered the shrimp tacos and chicken chimichangas. Both were great, and they were very good at accommodating how we asked for 1/3 tacos to be crunchy while the others being soft. Overall it was a great meal and we enjoyed the free margarita, with choices of strawberry, lime, or mango.
I can't believe this place is 2 blocks from where I've lived the past 2 years and today was my first time there! The place is awesome! The people were very nice (Ana was great!) and the food was great. It will now be on my rotation! Plus free margaritas!
This most recent to-go order of mine was incredibly disappointing. These quesabirria tacos look TERRIBLE compared to what they look like when you order in person. When I order these in person, the tortilla is crusted with cheese and it's nice and crispy, but these are soggy and they taste horrible. The meat was not seasoned AT ALL. The dip it comes with was packaged with such little care that it spilled everywhere in the container. ALL three tacos were absolutely soaked at the bottom with the dip. This is such an avoidable issue that I am struggling to understand how that happened. The tamale I got was packaged in piping hot foil that could very well burn somebody. It was also so disgusting? It was soggy, wet, and unseasoned. I usually love their food, it's always amazing quality when you order in the restaurant and the to-go food is usually better than this. I've gotten this same order to-go before and it wasn't nearly as disappointing as this one is. It feels as if they put zero care into the food not made for the guests dining in. For $5-6 for A SINGLE taco I expect A LOT better than this. I love this restaurant so much, I really do, but I genuinely do not understand how they managed to make such mediocre food.
Accessibility is good. There is a ramp into their location and easy to navigate between tables. Wish Lansdale was better with parking, no fault of this restaurant. The staff are extremely polite and attentive. They deserve a solid 5 star, each one we interacted with was great. The food was delicious and this is definitely one of the best Mexican restaurants in the area. My wife and I split a steak burrito and chicken tacos. We agreed the burrito stood out in flavor and presentation. Their pico was excellent as well, so was their red hot sauce. All around just excellent food which is why their rankings are so high! I recommend either dining in or take out, certain that the quality is there.
I came here for lunch and had the steak tacos. Needless to say, they were absolutely incredible. The Jarritos Fruit Punch soda was also phenomenal. The ambiance, to say the least, feels very cultural and inspiring. And the staff were wonderful, they captured my heart like you would not believe. I can't remember the name of the waitress who served me, but she brightened up my day. Only one drawback, though, they don't use enough cheese and I had to ask for extra, but in the end, that didn't matter to me because I ate 3 tacos and was very satisfied before having to catch a train back home, and, whoops, I forgot to mention how easy it is to walk here from the train station.
WOW WOW WOW!!! This place is AMAZING! Wanted to try a new local restaurant and I feel like I hit the jackpot with El Limon. There was plenty of food and it was soooo DELICIOUS!!! The grilled chicken burrito was so amazing and the churros were like a sleigh ride on my tongue!! I just found a new go to Mexican Restaurant. Everyone MUST try this place
